For much of Trump’s political career, he has played his base like a pianist on steroids and cocaine. Accusing immigrants of destroying the country, committing violent crimes, stealing jobs from Americans, etc. He has similarly harped on the “Deep State” alleging Democrats were in some sort of cabal orchestrating everything from weather patterns to toilet habits! All of these claims were patently false and proven so dozens of times over, but he persists… not so that he would be believed by his base… but so that his base would not believe ANYTHING. All the facts in the world will not sway them. And it has worked liked a charm.
Enter Palantir.
Palantir is a defense, NSA and Homeland Security contractor and has been since 2009. They have received almost $3 Billion in contracts since 2009. The company was founded by Peter Thiel, the same Peter Thiel that donated millions to Trump’s campaign and has been a MAGA mouthpiece for years.
Palantir is best known for providing the NSA, Homeland Security, the CIA, and various Defense and law enforcement agencies with tools to track potential terrorists. With proper oversight, these tools have saved countless lives. But under Trump, and with DOGE’s improper access to confidential records of every American citizen, from tax records and Social Security records to Department of Health records, ICE records and records we haven’t even heard they accessed yet, Palantir has been given the nod by Trump to create a program to track and monitor EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN. Even some of Trump’s most ardent supporters are now nervous and claiming this is a step too far.
Too little, too late.
There never really was a “deep state” in America, despite the hype and lies, at least that is, until now. With Palantir and Trump, mass surveillance is now possible and far more prolific. They can now track EVERY FACET of your life and know what you are saying online. Post something Trump doesn’t like? Off you go to El Salvadore!
While the MAGA morons were screaming about their 2ndAmendment right (which has NEVER been on the chopping block, despite the cacophony of lies to the contrary), they didn’t even realize they lost their 4th Amendment rights (what government activities are considered “searches” and “seizures”, what constitutes probable cause to conduct those searches and seizures, and how to address violations). They are so enthralled by their king that they can’t even understand the legal implications and ramifications of allowing him to falsely steer the national narrative on immigrants into the murky waters of the Seditions Act by calling their presence an “invasion” and a “threat to national security.” Worse than that, they AMPLIFY those same lies which further creates the fervor that has us careening out of control to their desired end game. Why? Because that is the prerequisite for declaring a form of martial law permitted by the Seditions Act and allows the President to suspend the Constitution, allowing him to lock up anyone who publicly disagrees with his policies, and to use the military on our local streets to do it. It legally allows Trump to strip EVERY US CITIZEN of their Constitutional rights. No court hearing, no due process, no “innocent until proven guilty”, nothing but a loyalty test, just like his new policy on hiring federal employees. Skills and knowledge are no longer a requirement. And if you thought Trump’s new blind loyalty test requirement for federal jobs was bizarre, they now have Oracle’s AI and the tried and true Palantir systems combing through social media and any other digital footprint you may have left behind to verify your loyalty claims.
And it doesn’t matter anymore whether you are Democrat, Independent or Republican. EVERYONE is now a target. If you voted for Trump but don’t like his tariff policy, your “anti-Trump” feelings about tariffs can now be used to silence you. And if you think that is a stretch, aske the AP what happened to their Whitehouse press corp seat for not wanting to rename the 500+ year old name for the Gulf of Mexico! Ask Elon Musk how much criticism Trump’s weak ego can take before he sidelines you.
Do you think you can find a lawyer to fight for your rights? Guess again. Trump has silenced even the biggest law firms. With his illegal executive orders that courts have consistently held he cannot do, Trump has brought law firms to their knees if they have ever let him down in the past. Imagine that kind of maniacal power in the hands of one man…. oh wait…you don’t have to imagine, afterall! But early American colonists did. They lived through it and some died in defiance of it.
Our forefathers decided we should never revisit the days of a tyranical king. They fought with their lives and sacrificed their livelihoods for several years to give us what MAGA has destroyed in mere weeks. Not a perfect government, but one that allowed open debate, not the closed minded, my way or the highway style of chaotic authoritarian ego centric that demands allegiance … not to our country, Constitution, or our society, but to him – ONE MAN. A man who is a convicted felon 34 times over. A man who falsely claimed he won an election despite 60 legal attempts in as many courts to get them to piggyback on his false claims but could not prove his wide spread fraud claim in a single case. A man who has pulled a Tesla truck onto the Whitehouse lawn and shamelessly hawked it like a street vendor in NYC selling hotdogs for a living. A man who fathered kids with women while married to another and now claims he was sent by God. A man who filed bankruptcy 7 times, screwing hard working small businessmen and businesswomen and menial labor workers out of their owed wages while laughing all the way to the bank with the buildings they built for him. A man who plunged our stock market into a free fall repeatedly so he and his billionaire buddies could make tens of millions more by shorting the markets using insider trading (but not before he fired all of those charged with investigating and prosecuting such violations). A man who claims to support law enforcement officers and despised violent criminals, but pardoned hundreds of January 6th rioters who beat Capital Police officers injuring scores of them and desecrated the Capital and made deals to bring in drug lords and their families in to the US while taking innocent immogrants (at least 50 known so far) without due process and shipped them to El Salvadore claiming they were all violent gang members.
Yes, MAGA supporters and sycophants elected EXACTLY who they wanted. And they got him. And they did it in the way that Republicans have done for decades… VOTER SUPPRESSION.
In NJ, it was Christie Whitman who won a narrow election for Governor in 1993 by having operatives walk the streets in urban areas with “walking around money” (WAM) paying black clergy money and urban poor leaders to convince their folks to stay home and not vote. The result? She won with a less than 1% margin. I was involved in that Gubernatorial race and witnessed it first hand. It was revolting then and it is even more so now.
In this election, it was found that Mark Meadow’s “Eagle AI” program [paid for by the Heritage Foundation (Project 2025 author) and Ziklag (A group of Far-right Christian Nationalist billionaires)] permitted mass voter rolls challenges to voters in key urban areas and Democratic strongholds right before the election. This essentially prevented LEGALLY REGISTERED VOTERS from being able to vote on election day while their cases logjammed in the courts. According to the US Election Assistance Agency (a nonpartisan arm of the federal Government), this resulted in more than 4 million Democrats and Democrat leaning voters being tied up in those court challenges until AFTER the election and thereby denying them their ability and their right to vote on election day.. These were NOT immigrants or illegal aliens, but our neighbors and friends that have lived and worked in America their entire lives and they were denied the right to vote by people so hungry for power, they were willing to cheat and lie to get that power. All while claiming it was the Democrats that “rigged” elections. And MAGA supporters amplified that lie, with fervor.
While the Republicans in Congress rubber stamp the antics of the madman in charge, and our global standing in the world is being forever dismantled giving Russia and China the opening they’ve wanted for decades to infiltrate the world with anti-American sentiment, our survival, in whatever ancillary position awaits this once great nation, will not be because of Trump or the Republicans in Congress. Our survival will be because of the true majority of Americans that see the wrong and refuse to abide by it. But whatever happens in the future, the immutable fact is that history will not be kind to us. 33% of the electorate that was permitted to vote elected Trump. 32% of the electorate voted Democrat while 35% were either elected or were forced by abused voter challenge laws weaponized by Republicans supporting a fascist regime, to stay home on election day. 33% is by no means the mandate that Trump and his sycophants claim he received. It is not even a majority. It was a rigged plurality. DOn’t fall for the lies, the disinformation and misinformation. Do your own reserach from ACTUAL sources of data, not news agencies or entertainment channels. Ask questions and write letters to your Congressional delegation. Get involved. The time is now.
