House Speaker Jordan and the Republicans in the House are eager to have laws in place under the guise of somehow protecting us from voter fraud that was deemed virtually non-existent in over 60 court cases and a half dozen states less than 4 years ago. Despite that fact, bills like H.R. 8281, which they named innocuously, the SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act) sounds innocent enough on its own, but like so many of the bills being quietly pushed into law as last minute modifications to bills or, like this one, named in such a way as to make the average person think it’s great just because it has words like SAFEGUARD AMERICAN VOTERS in the heading, it belies the duplicitous and enabling TRUE nature of these attacks on Democracy. Don’t be fooled. These conniving pigs are trying desperately to subvert people’s right to vote and they are writing laws that will enable them to ensure that a dictator of their choice stays in power once they sufficiently rig the system to ensure it.. A closer look at the “SAVE” Act illustrates this point.
This Bill would amend the National Voter Registration Act that ALREADY makes it illegal for non-citizens to vote. So from the start, the new bill is redundant and unnecessary, but pesky little facts have never stopped the GOP in the past, so why start now? The amendments would put an even heavier burden on minority and poor voters and certain ethnic groups who are naturalized citizens but may not fully understand the English language because it would require proof of citizenship and the Department of Homeland Security to then check each credential for authenticity and purge the voter records as necessary. A job not in their wheelhouse frankly as the Department of State typically does that on a state by state basis. We would now have the federal government reaching into what has been defined in the Constitution as a STATE’S SOVERIEGN RITE.
But let’s dive a little deeper into the Department of Homeland Security’s purging authorization in this bill because this is the most dramatic and surreptitious aspect of the bill. For this part, you must remember that once the Republican’s have their President of choice in power, under Project 2025, the Sedition Act of 1807 (typically referred to as the Insurrection Act) would be invoked allowing the use of the Military to act as law enforcement and arrest anyone who even talks maliciously about the Government ON DAY ONE. That’s right, 1st Amendment rights are out the door. And since the Supreme Court of Traitors has made the presumptive President a King with Immunity, there is NOTHING IN HIS WAY TO STOP HIM…Welcome to tyranny on day one, just like Trump has proudly proclaimed to everyone publicly. Also remember Schedule F which Trump initiated in the closing 3 months of his last administration but was rescinded by Biden? It would have changed all civil service career employees who originally had to take a knowledge-based test in order to get the job to at-will, POLITICAL APPOINTEES whose only test is a Trump loyalty test, and to hell with KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THE JOB ITSELF…in fact, knowledge under a Trump administration is a detrimental characteristic. According to Project 2025 and Trumps own AGENDA 47 (found on his website), firing everyone in the FBI, DOJ, Homeland Security and installing Trump-vetted loyalists who will blindly obey regardless of lawfulness is the next step. Schedule F allows for that. Of course, once that is in place, he can have EVERY PERSON REMOVED FROM THE POLLS (or those that have ever written ANYTHING negative that might hurt Trump’s sensitive ego, because the law enforcing agencies are now all Trump loyalists as is Homeland Security. Meanwhile, our defenses are vulnerable to attack because the knowledgeable people were replaced with idiots blindly following a bigger idiot).
In this way, opponents would be removed from the voter registrations, ensuring a tyrant can remain in charge for as long as he wanted, followed by others of his type since opposition would be non-voters, removed from the polls for having a different opinion.
Wake up Republicans. Your “new” party is NOT what our founding fathers wanted. They escaped tyranny and fashioned the Constitution in a way to avoid that travesty from being brought to our shores ever again. Likewise with religion. They witnessed firsthand the types of theocratic horrors and persecutions that convinced them to NEVER permit that into our society, and your vote will nullify ALL OF THAT EFFORT and spit on the graves of tens of thousands of soldiers who fought to ensure that our Democracy would survive.
As an aside, I find it more than ironic that the great evil left of “woke” “cancellers” haven’t cancelled ANYONE but the Republican lawmakers in the HOUSE FREEDOM CAUCUS just “cancelled” another member for having the audacity to endorse a candidate other than that of their choosing in opposition to the Freedom Caucus’ leadership. This is the second one in the caucus and the 5th Republican in the House to be cancelled for having an independent thought. Who’s woke and cancelling now?
