Project 2025 is a plan by the conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation. It can be found online at Project2025.org and is scary on the surface, but even more terrifying if you look under the hood!
Essentially, the plan is to have people ready on day one of a Republican Presidential win (presumably 2025 with Donald Trump) to fire hundreds of thousands of federal workers and push us closer to a theocratic authoritarian government where the religious beliefs of the Christian Right would be the only voices of government…essentially the overturning of Roe v. Wade on steroids. Already, the Heritage Foundation has hired ten thousand pre-vetted Trump loyalists using AI services supplied by Oracle to scrub through Social Media to find absolute loyalists to Trump who will be ready on the day of the Presidential inauguration to replace as many as 50,000 current workers who would be fired immediately. They pre-screen them to make sure they have no qualms about ripping back 250 years of Constitutional protections, laws, and case law that have provided the guardrails for the previous 46 Presidents.
The plan is to get rid of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI; eliminate the Dept. of Education and the Dept. of Commerce; get rid of environmental regulations; and promote fossil fuel reliance and production. They plan to immediately invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 to mobilize the military to provide domestic law enforcement and to prosecute all opposition. One of its top contributors is Paul Dans (inlaid in the picture above). Paul Dans, a former Trump administration official, said in September of 2023 that Project 2025 is “systematically preparing to march into office and bring a new army, aligned, trained, and essentially weaponized conservatives ready to do battle against the deep state.”
He wasn’t kidding. On October 21, 2020, just weeks before Trump would lose the election, Trump signed an Executive Order titled “Schedule F,” which would have mandated that tens of thousands of career civil service jobs be moved into unclassified, “at will” jobs. And what would that “will” be? Well, for starters, you had to have unwavering loyalty for Trump, no matter what he wanted done. He had grown weary of his staff constantly arguing with him over petty things like laws, rules, and regulations that prevented him from doing whatever he wanted to do. If you don’t have the stomach for rule-breaking at Trump’s command, your services are no longer required. And to make sure they have Trump supporters ready to take over, the Heritage Foundation has hired Oracle to use AI to sift through social media and other digital footprints to find even a morsel of anti-Trump comments. Yes, big brother is not only watching, but their Secret Police are gathering intel, and they are not taking prisoners… and no, I am the furthest thing from a conspiracy theorist.
Maybe you think I’m making this up. Frankly, if Biden had lost in 2020, this would be reality; however, once Biden got in, he rescinded the order. But that hasn’t stopped the Heritage Foundation from continuing their quest to find blind faith followers for their cult leader. Here is their job application on the Project 2025 website. Just read some of the questions, and you will see what they are aiming to weed out and what they want.
SO why isn’t mainstream media reporting on this??? Only they know for sure, but if I had to guess, I’d assume it’s because conservatives might have a financial interest with the media.
Should anyone care? Well, consider how Adolph Hitler rose to power. After joining the German Workers’ Party, which would later become the Nazi Party, his oratory skills and use of propaganda allowed him to rise to the top of the party. From there, he unsuccessfully ran for President of the Republic. The President appointed him to the Chancellor position. A fire in the Parliament building (suspected of being orchestrated by the Nazis but never proven) provided the necessary impetus for calling martial law and the Chancellor seizing power as an authoritarian leader. The Depression earlier and the war reparations Germany was forced to pay after WW1 caused the German economy to go under, which allowed Hitler to blame Jews, Slavs, and Jehovah’s Witnesses. It stirred public sentiment into a frenzy that allowed the killing of 11 million people in their efforts to “purify” the Aryan race. Hitler had the support of the powerful German officer class and of millions of everyday citizens who voted for the National Socialist German Workers’ (Nazi) Party and hailed him as a national savior in gigantic stadium rallies, very similar to Trump-style rallies today where the disabled can be made fun of, non-MAGA attendees can be beaten, and whole classes of people can be ridiculed or adored, depending on the event.
Project 2025 borrows much from that playbook. The propaganda is already hard at work taking great economic news and somehow convincing large swaths of people how good off they aren’t. They are recruiting people to take over Washington infrastructure the day of the inauguration and to begin dismantling the “administrative state,” as they call it, which would permit our adversaries around the globe to have a tactical advantage and attack us at a vulnerable time.
Again, this is not conjecture or opinion. This is their publicly available, very loud whisper, which is proudly portrayed on their own website. Only a fool would discount this real threat to democracy. In Trump’s own words, one of the plans is to attack universities and colleges he has deemed as communist sympathizers or “woke.” “Under the plan I’m announcing today, we will take the billions and billions of dollars that we will collect by taxing, fining, and suing excessively large private university endowments, and we will then use that money to endow a new institution called the American Academy,” according to his “Agenda47” site.
In another video, Trump says, “As we completely overhaul the federal Department of Justice and FBI, we will also launch sweeping civil rights investigations into Marxist local District Attorneys. And that’s what we have—they are Marxist in many cases.” If you read the manifesto on their site, it becomes crystal clear exactly what the agenda is and how Trump plans to take over the Presidency and turn it into the dictatorship he has explicitly admired. This is not hyperbole or an exaggeration; it is precisely what the Heritage Foundation has been publicly planning and Trump has been publicly alluding to, and it is the same blueprint of Mussolini and Hitler.
Now you know why they want to burn the history books and sanitize everything our youth can read. If you don’t record history, you cannot learn from it, and you ARE doomed to repeat it.
Still, no assault on our democracy would be possible without the help received from like-minded sympathizers eager to gorge themselves at the trough of greed and power. Enter the funding partners of this travesty: the Project 2025 “Advisory Board,” which the Heritage Foundation claims is now over 100. Their website has a list of them here: Advisory Board | Project 2025. Take a moment to read through these names. You will likely recall some of them sponsoring dark money Political ads that seem to be benign groups of concerned citizens, but it’s an elaborate scheme to disguise their ugly purpose, which is notably NOT benign.
And NOW, Trump is feverishly trying to distance himself from Project 2025. His claim of ignorance is almost laughable. Project 2025’s 922-page policy agenda has 30 chapters and 34 authors. Twenty-five of Project 2025’s authors served as members of the Trump administration. Another Project 2025 author, Stephen Moore, was nominated by Trump to the Federal Reserve but forced to withdraw “due to prior alleged sexist writings about women.” And William Walton, the co-author of the chapter on the Department of the Treasury, was on Trump’s transition team and a senior campaign staffer for Trump in 2016. In all, 81% of the authors of Project 2025’s manifesto were Trump’s Senior Staff at the White House or higher up in his circle. But he doesn’t know those people!
