Let’s face it, Trump can’t face defeat. After Biden’s subpar debate performance, Trump thought he’d pull away in the polls leaving Biden in the dust; however, that did not happen. Yes, Biden has suffered lower donor contributions and no matter how much his policies have improved the lives of everyday citizens, it doesn’t seem to be enough to pull him ahead of a convicted 34 count felon, civilly liable for sexual assault, defrauder of a veterans’ charity, Trump University con artist, hater of anything not him, rival.
Enter Butler County Pennsylvania. A county that carried Trump in the last election by a margin of 2:1. Minutes into his speech, shots rang out. Trump grabbed his ear and fell to the ground. Secret Service chaotically encircling him unaware of where the shots originated from or how many active shooters there might be. Trump insists on getting his shoes and putting them on and then tells his bodyguards to wait so he can fist pump the crowd and mouth the word FIGHT 3 times to his cheering supporters. In fact, here is the transcript from Secret Service audio in the 92 seconds after the shots at 6:11pm:
18:11:33: Shots are fired.
18.11:34: Trump touches the right side of his face.
18:11:35: Trump takes cover as agents rush to the podium.
Male agent 1: “Get down, get down, get down.”
More shots heard as Trump surrounded by agents.
18:11:41: Female agent: “What’re we doing, what’re we doing.” “Where are we going…”
Man indistinctly yelling.
18:11.50: Gunshot, then woman screams.
18:11:58: Male agent 2: “Go around to the spare, go around to the spare.”
18:12:00: Male agent 3 says something like: “Move to the spare, hold, hold, when you’re ready, on you.”
(“Spare” refers to a spare limousine.)
18:12:01: Male agent 2: “Ready”
18:12:02: Male agent 3: “Move!”
18:12:03: Male agent 2: “Up!”
18:12:03: Male agent 3: “Move!”
18:12:04: Male agent 4: “Go, go, go.”
18:12:06: Male agent 2: “Hawkeye’s here.”
18:12:06: Female agent 1: “Hawkeye’s here, moving to the spare.”
(“Hawkeye” is the code name for the counter assault team.)
18:12:09: Male agent 4: “Spare get ready, spare get ready.”
18:12:10: Male agent 2: “You ready?”
18:12:16-21: Agents: “Shooter’s down, shooter’s down, are we good to move?”
18:12:21: Male agent: “Shooter’s down. We’re good to move.”
18:12:22: Female agent: “Are we clear?”
18:12:23: Agents: “We’re clear, we’re clear, we’re clear.”
18:12:23: Male agent: “Let’s move, let’s move.”
Agents start to stand up, lifting Trump.
18:12:33: Trump: “Let me get my shoes, let me get my shoes.”
18:12:35: Male agent 2: “I got you sir, I got you sir.”
18:12:36: Trump: “Let me get my shoes on.”
18:12:37: Another male agent: “hold on, your head is bloody.”
18:12:39: Male agent 2: “Sir we’ve got to move to the car sir.”
18:12:42: Trump: “Let me get my shoes.”
18:12:43: Female agent: “OK, [inaudible].”
18:12:47: Trump: “Wait, wait, wait” then fist pumps to crowd. He mouths “fight” three times – a move met with cheers by the crowd.
18:12:54: Agent: “We got to move, we got to move.”
Trump claimed that his ear was shot…a bullet whizzed by him, and he heard it, followed by the feeling of a bullet ripping through his flesh. One thing we know for sure is that bullets flew and killed a supporter who was a father and husband and a former fire fighter who was killed protecting his family by shielding them with his own body. You know the type…. Those loser veteran types. In addition, two others were hurt critically and remain in the hospital. Trump proceeded to play golf the next day. Did he call the victims’ families and offer condolences or extend any heartfelt sympathies for the senseless violence?? Why?? It’s all about him.
So, let’s get back to his supposed bullet through the upper ear injury. A look at the picture above shows a distinctive chunk of glass at the laceration sight. While I am sure he can get a doctor to say anything he wants them to say to provide cover, the reality is that the picture shows glass, not a bullet hole. The glass came from the teleprompter that was hit in front of him which splintered off and appears to have hit his ear. To anyone who has ever nicked themselves shaving or lacerated their ear or facial area, you would know that bleeding is quite heavy because the face has a lot more blood vessels feeding it, so any damage will result in an abundance of blood. This does NOT translate to the extent or significance of the injury…just the location. The fact that it was glass but made to sound like it was a bullet appears to be an opportunistic lie or worse, a staged event where an innocent bystander was killed, and two others injured just to gain points in the polls. I am hopeful it is NOT that, but the picture tells a far different story than the statements being made. But it doesn’t stop there.
In the audio above, 92 seconds of chaos where they know there is at least one shooter. They have no idea where the shooter is or how many there are. Their job is to get the former president out of there as quickly as possible to protect his life. Appearances or photo ops are NOT the priority. So why did they delay in getting him to the car? Well, as you see from the transcript, Trump wants to first, get his shoes, then he wants to get them on, then finally, while he is being helped up by Secret Service to spirit him away to safety, he exclaims Wait! Wait! Wait! the Secret Service ALLOW THIS and say OK, and he fist pumps the crowd while mouthing 3 times FIGHT! to a cheering crowd. Really?? You still had no idea if it was even safe to move, let alone pause in front of a crowd after being shot at. Think about this….A full 20+ seconds was spent allowing Trump to get his shoes with another 7+ seconds to fist pump the crowd. This series of events make it hard to believe it was not a staged event. I am SURE that no one was supposed to be killed or hurt, or at least I hope that’s the case, but this man is calloused, uncaring, insensitive and devoid of empathy or compassion. There simply isn’t room for any of that as he is completely self-absorbed in his own narcissistic solipsist. So if it was staged, there is no telling if collateral damage was intended or even hoped for.
I don’t think we will ever really know the truth, but isn’t it strangely coincidental that mere HOURS after the shooting, a poll was released showing that the event had pushed the needle in Trumps favor dramatically for the first time this election cycle?? There simply is too many of these coincidences and inconsistencies to truly resolve the question of whether this was staged or simply the act of a deranged and disillusioned Republican 20-year-old. But it IS a question we should have the answers to before the election…I’m all ears.
